He is survived by: his children, Sherry Gentry (Brian) of Sparta and David Shepherd of Sparta; his granddaughters, Amber Fender (Forest) of Sparta and Autumn Rose of Sparta; his great grandchildren, Logan Fender of Sparta, Holli Fender of Sparta, Harper Rose of Sparta and Evren Cuevas of Sparta; and his brother Harold Shepherd of Wilkesboro.
