She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Murray and Blanche Holbrook Murray; and her siblings, Dorothy Crouse and Danny Murray. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Tate Farrell of Wallace, NC, Kenneth Tate (Heather) of Crumpler, NC and Ricky Tate (Shannon) of Galax, VA; and her siblings, Betty Shelton (Wayne) of Sparta and Dennis Murray (Cathy) of Glade Valley. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church (1410 Cherry Ln Rd, Glade Valley, NC 28627).
