It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Marie Farrington of Sparta, North Carolina, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Earl and Leona Newton Farrington of Dearborn, Mi.. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Bamberg; her brother Newton "Jedd" Farrington (Debbie Wesley) of Pfafftown; her stepson Ed Bamberg (Dawn) of Vero Beach, Fla.; her stepgrandchildren, Noah Bamberg of Vero Beach and Cana Davidson (Alex); and her siblings-in-law, Barrie Bamberg of Milton, Fla. and Joe Bamberg.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sparta United Methodist Church (190 N Main St, Sparta, NC 28675). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alleghany Animal Shelter c/o Twin Oaks Veterinary Clinic, 2970 U.S. 21 North, Sparta, N.C. 28675.
