He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lewis Lane and Annie Mae Freeman Lane; and his sister Shirley Lane Ramsey. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lane; his daughter Donna Lane Mills (Matt Mills); his grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Brittany and Emersyn Mills; his daughter Darla Lane Stokely (James); his grandchildren, Allison and Will Stokely; his son Darren Lane (Rebecca Lane); his grandchildren, Gracey, Daniel and Katey Lane; and his sister Brenda Lane Hammond.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Padgett and King Chapel (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
