He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Sprouse and Ada Vickers Sprouse; his son Billy Ray Sprouse; and his siblings, Garland, Franklin, Elmer, Delmer Sprouse, Lillian, Jeanette and Reva Sprouse Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Day Sprouse; his daughter Sharon Hughes; his sister Becky Gilliam; and his niece Patsy Salmon. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren and four great greatgrandchildren.
