She is survived by: her husband Donald Simmons; her brother John Brooker (Peggy) of Casper, WY; her stepchildren, Greg Simmons of Lenoir and Belinda Camper (Daryl) of Rutherfordton; and her stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Barnes of Cary and Corine Willen (Noah) of Charlotte.
