He was predeceased by : his parents, T. B. Whitlock and Lily Pauline Whitlock; his daughter Donna Rae Poteat; and his stepfather James H. Whitlock. He is survived by : his children, Steve Poteat (Abby), Leesa Hilty, Tamra Luckadoo, Andria Horn (Jack) and Brandi Poteat. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
