It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Cecil Roberson Sr. (Spring Hope, North Carolina), who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Deacon Cecil leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Deacon Cecil may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his wife Elder Lilly Roberson; his children, Shelia Hinton (Earl), Cordelia Andrews of Spring Hope, Belinda Harper (Elder Reginald) of Rocky Mount, Cecil Roberson, Jr. (Janet), Timothy Roberson of Spring Hope, Emmanuel Roberson of Durham, Christina Williams (Melvin) of Spring Hope and Earlene Hunter (Kendra) of Nashville; and his brother James Roberson (Melba) of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the William Toney's Funeral Home Inc. - Spring Hope (516 S Poplar St, Spring Hope, NC 27882). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
