He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carl Swann, Sr. and Thelma Jacqueline Swann (Inman); and his brother William Carl Swann, Jr. (Billy). He is survived by: his siblings, Leander Swann (Terry), Timothy Swann, Michael Swann and Brenda Swann Holmes. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Adcock Funeral Home & Crematory (2226 Lillington Hwy, Spring Lake, NC 28390).
In lieu of flowers, he would have requested donations be made to North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in his honor.
