We announce the death of Bonita Hernandez (Spring Lake, North Carolina), who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 76. Bonita will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lester Rose and Lucy Rose; and her husband Bruce Hernandez. She is survived by: her children, Derrick Hernandez of South Carolina, Misty Hernandez of South Carolina and Carrie Jacob; her grandchildren, Rachel Hernandez, Savannah Hernandez, Bruce Hernandez and Ryder Jacob; her stepsister Deidre Dahlberg; her half-brother Harold Rose; Mike of Spring Lake.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Layton Chapel Baptist Church (1230 Anderson Creek School Rd, Spring Lake, NC 28390). A memorial service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
