He was predeceased by: his parents, Ledell Welch and Lena Beard Welch of Turbeville, SC; his wife Pearl Scott Welch; his brothers, John Henry and Nelva Welch; and his siblings' children, Kimberly Tucker and Petey Welch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christyl Collins and Angela Vongsvirates; his brother Don Welch; Beverly. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
