He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Uphold, Sr. and Ruth Dale Uphold; his niece Jennifer Wyatt; and his nephew Brandon Warren. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Uphold; his siblings-in-law, Deborah Warren of Simpsonville, SC, Susan McKinney Hollifield of Little Switzerland and Greg McKinney of Spruce Pine; and his mother-in-law Virginia Vilchka of Weaverville.
