He was predeceased by: his son Greenville (Roberta Woody); his wife Betty Jo Woody; his daughter Darlene Briggs; and his siblings, Mable, Shirley, Louise, Jenny, Robert, Lawrence and Bill.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Catalano (Frank) of Spruce Pine and Ricky Ward of Spruce Pine; his brothers, Tylie Woody (Sandy) of Spruce Pine and Scott Woody of Morganton, NC; his grandchildren, Dewayne, Robin, Erica and Brayden; and his great grandchildren, Kristen, Taylor, Nicholas, Dylan, Bradley, Aiden and Jayce.
