He is survived by: his wife Patricia Reeves Hefner; his children, Terri Scott (Wayne) of Spruce Pine and Chip Hefner (Jennifer) of Ocala, Fla.; his grandchildren, Andrew Scott, Avery, Marybeth and Katie Hefner; and his siblings, Norma Duncan and Winston Hefner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (125 W Tappan St, Spruce Pine, NC 28777). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, they request that donations be made to Hospice of Mitchell County.
