He is survived by: his significant other Carolyn McKinney Sproles; his daughters, Debbie Blevins (Sam), Donna Buchanan (Paul) and Diane Struble; his significant other's son Gregory Charles Sproles (Julianna); his grandchildren, Nickolas, Savannah (Casey), Lincoln (Cari), Samantha (Richard), Lindsey, Erin, Devon (Tyler), Delaney, Caitlin (Danté), Alexandra (Preston), Achilles, Ben and Sadie; and his great grandchildren, Casen, Elias, Luke, Owen, Asa, Lilja and Kate.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (125 W Tappan St, Spruce Pine, NC 28777). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge, Inc.
