He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hunt Gunter of Winston-Salem; his children, Lanny Gunter, Jr. (Leigh) of Cassatt, SC and Stacey Hood of Lugoff, SC; his grandsons, Waylon, Tanner Gunter, Caleb and Garrett Hood; his siblings, Wanda Gouge (Steve) of Taylorsville, KY and Joey Gunter of Bardstown, KY; and his nieces, Mandy Howie (Johnny) of Taylorsville, KY and Aime Nance (Jerry) of Lawrenceburg, KY.
