She was predeceased by: her parents, Cicero Jones and Pearl Fisher Jones; her husband Edward Rose; her daughter Deborah Thomas; her grandchildren, Simon, Lewis, Jr. and Brittany; and her siblings, Wilma Lee, Lester, Robert, Coy, Ben, Johnny and Lawrence Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Lewis'Mater'Rose (Sue Ann) of Spruce Pine and Deonne Silvers of Tennessee; her son-in-law Ray Thomas of Newland; and her daughter Bobbie Jo Laws (Jerry) of Burnsville. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and several nephews.
