She was predeceased by: her parents, Cicero Jones and Pearl Fisher Jones; her husband Edward Rose; her daughter Deborah Thomas; her grandchildren, Simon, Lewis, Jr. and Brittany; and her siblings, Wilma Lee, Lester, Robert, Coy, Ben, Johnny and Lawrence Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Lewis'Mater'Rose (Sue Ann) of Spruce Pine and Deonne Silvers of Tennessee; her son-in-law Ray Thomas of Newland; and her daughter Bobbie Jo Laws (Jerry) of Burnsville. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and several nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Webb Funeral Home (128 Roan Rd, Spruce Pine, NC 28777). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
