She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew Diles and Myrtle Meadows Diles; her husband Roger Burnette; her siblings, Ruby Hall, Lucinda Diles, Bertha Branham, Ollie England, Deetta Johnson, James, Jackie and Bobby Diles; and her grandparents, John, Katherine Diles, Richard and Rebecca Meadows.

She is survived by : her children, Roger Burnette, Jr. (Tina) of Spruce Pine, Linda Whitener (Jerry) of Hickory and Kathy Bolick (Doug) of Granite Falls; her siblings, Margaret Reid of Pikeville, KY, Mae Adkins (Roger) of Pikeville, KY and Richard Diles (Pat) of Okeechobee, FL; her grandchildren, Crystal May, Nia West, Keaton Bolick, Garrett Burnette, Sarah Adkins and Daisy Whitener; and her great grandchildren, Seth May, Harper West, Malcom Rosso and Demetri Burnette.
