She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Schaefer and Karoline Hey Schaefer; and her brother Dieter. She is survived by: her daughters, Gabriele Charles (Fred) of Lyons, MI, Christine Babcock (Steven) of Duluth, GA, Diana Mamou (Mounier) of Covington, GA and Michelle Boone (Josh) of Spruce Pine. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Webb Funeral Home (128 Roan Rd, Spruce Pine, NC 28777).
