He was predeceased by: his parents, V. O. Slayton and Laura Gould Slayton. He is survived by: his wife Inza Hall Slayton; his brothers, Lynn Slayton (Susan) of Sherrills Ford and Jerry Slayton of Charlotte; and his brother-in-law Gary Hall (Connie) of Niceville, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
