He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Henry and Gladys Snavely Welch; his wife Lucy Welch; and his sister Helen Bartlett. He is survived by: his son Mike Welch (Georgia) of Bakersville; his grandchildren, Jeff, April and Nathan; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Garrett, Scarlett and Amelia.
