She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Molton Buchanan and Nola Pitman Buchanan; her husband Leon Polechio; her son Rodney Polechio; and her sisters, Ann Boone, Georgia Fisher, Kathlene Wheeler, Louise Bayuik and Juanita Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan Polechio of Lincolnton, Doug Polechio (Lisa) of Bakersville and Randy Polechio of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren, Heather Polechio of Asheville, Michael Polechio of New Port News, VA, Cody Swann of Burnsville, William Polechio of Newland, Brendon Polechio of Newland, Chasity Miller (Judd) of Spruce Pine and Casey Wise (Amber) of Spruce Pine; her great grandchildren, RJ Miller of Spruce Pine, Lydia Wise of Spruce Pine and Micheala Miller of Spruce Pine; and her daughters-in-law, Margaret Polechio and Sonia Gilbert.
