We bid farewell to Phillip Snyder (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 14, 2025 at the age of 97. Phillip touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his former wives, Lucy Peters Snyder and Faye Snyder; his siblings, Howard, Charlie, Joe Snyder, Ruth Buchanan and Gennie Lee Roberson; his son-in-law Quentin Buchanan; his great grandchild Skylar Buchanan; and his grandsons-in-law, Erette Bobbit and Alan Bagwell.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Snyder; his children, Janet Buchanan of Spruce Pine, Cathy Hall (Danny) of Spruce Pine, Penny Winchester (Tommy) of Spruce Pine, Phillip Jerry Snyder Jr. (Pam) of Spruce Pine and Charlie Snyder (Jamie) of Spruce Pine; and his stepchildren, Scott Thomas (Pat), Darren and Stacy Buchanan of Spruce Pine. He is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, (three on the way), two great-great grandchildren, two step grandsons, two step great-grandsons, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Blue Ridge or Mitchell Baptist Church Building Fund.
