She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sparks and Estelle Sparks; her former husband Kenneth McKinney; and her siblings, Emma Dene Geouge, Betty Hughes, Louise Buchanan and Howard Sparks.
She is survived by: her husband Max Gouge; her son Gregory McKinney of Stanardsville; her grandsons, Eli McKinney of Charlottesville and Daniel McKinney of Reston, Virginia.; her sisters, Nina Long and Patsy Connelly; and her siblings' children, Syna Hughes Lewis, Stacy Hughes, Cameron Buchanan, Heath Sparks, Amy Sparks Young, Christopher Connelly, Heather Connelly Brownfield and Cindy Long Sullins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Webb Funeral Home (128 Roan Rd, Spruce Pine, NC 28777).
