She was predeceased by: her father Floyd Young; and her siblings, Robert, Carroll, Betty, Doris, Thelma and Becky.
She is survived by: her mother Cordie English Young; her husband Wayne Townsend; her sons, Kevin and Ken Townsend; and her sister Jackie Cornett.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Green Valley Baptist Church (200 Skyhook Ln, Spruce Pine, NC 28777). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Green Valley Baptist Church Cemetery (200 Skyhook Ln, Spruce Pine, NC 28777).
