He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Franklin Byrd. He is survived by: his mother Marsha Gail Jones; his stepfather Robert Jones of Spruce Pine; his sister Lisa Gardner (Dustin) of Spruce Pine; his son Caleb Byrd (Cheyenne Carico) of Wilson, NC; his sibling's children, Hannah McCurry (Gus Schabilion) of Bakersville and Collin Gardner (Jessica Buchanan) of Spruce Pine; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Maddy and Lily Buchanan of Bakersville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to: Sean Byrd Memorial Fund at United Community Bank, Spruce Pine, NC 28777 (checks need to be made payable to: Lisa Gardner). These donations will be donated in Sean's memory to Duke Transplant Assistance program which assist low-income families with transplants.
