He was predeceased by: his parents, Theo Pendley and Ella McClellan Pendley; and his siblings, Paul, Jay, Buster and Beulah.

He is survived by: his sons, Duane of Marion and Billy Pendley of Marion; his siblings, John Henry Pandley (Regina) of Spruce Pine, David Pendley of Spruce Pine, Benny Pendley of Morganton, Sue Thomas of Spruce Pine, Mable Loven of Spruce Pine and Jean Thomas of Hickory; and his pet Bailey.
