She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Ernest Bennett and Mattie Vaden Bennett; her husband John Howard "Johnny" Pegram; her daughters, Kathy Sue Pegram and Dolores Higgins; and her son-in-law Larry Gregory.
She is survived by: her children, Stacy Gregory and Bucky Pegram (Tina); her son-in-law Jim Higgins; her grandchildren, Tracy Jenkins (Marty), Jeremy Pegram (Allison), Zach Higgins (Josipa), Michael Strickland (Beth), Josh Pegram (Kathleen), Justin Higgins and Travis Pegram; her great grandchildren, Cody Strickland, Lisa Strickland, Marissa Roberts, Page Jackson, Elliot Pegram and Luke Pegram; and her sisters, Mary Tuttle (Bill) and Mabel Shaw (Jack). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kernersville Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3950 Macy Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284).
