He is survived by: his wife Sue Murray; and his children, Dawn Mize (Les), Pam Macomber (Rich), David Spooner (Michelle) and Jennifer Robertson (Billy). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Locust (501 N Central Ave, Locust, NC 28097). A memorial service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
