She is survived by: her husband Todd Helms; her sons, Matthew Helms (Tiffany) of Oakboro and Aaron Helms (Amanda) of Albemarle; her grandchildren, Joshua, Mackenzie and Molly Helms; and her sister Janet Edwards of Stanfield.
