She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred McIntosh and Maude Huitt McIntosh; her husband Curtis Gray Brotherton; her son Barry Brotherton; and her siblings, Sydney McIntosh, Baron McIntosh, Baxter McIntosh, Sarah Nixon, Cora Grice, Mike McIntosh and Lucille Shuford.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Larrimore (Peter), Peggy Devine (Dan) and Allen Brotherton (Lynn); her daughter-in-law Deborah Brotherton; her brother Thomas McIntosh (Lela); and her sister-in-law Margaret McIntosh. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hills Chapel United Methodist Church (988 NC-16, Stanley, NC 28164). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
