He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Shepherd and Katherine Marsh Shepherd of Belmont, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Susan Deaton Shepherd; his children, Brian Shepherd (Mandy) of Belmont and Melissa McDaniel (Dee) of Belmont; his granddaughter Makensie Mauney-McDaniel (Demetrius Mauney-McDaniel) of Belmont; his great grandchildren, Myles Mauney-McDaniel and Moses Shepherd Mauney-McDaniel; and his brothers, Charles Shepherd (Natalie) of Claremont, NC and Joe Shepherd of Gastonia.
