She is survived by: her sons, Steven Hubert Abernathy (Donna) of Charlotte and Ronald Franklin Abernathy of Stanley; her grandchildren, Chase Abernathy (Cassie) of Crouse, Chelsea Turpin (Justin) of Dallas and Sara Abernathy of Denver; her great grandchildren, Cole, Kalli, Clay Abernathy, Porter, Annie, Boone Turpin and Micah Moody; her sisters, Faye Heller (Warren), Patsy Ritchie, Geraldine "Deanie" Morris (Joel) and Judy Abernathy (Harry); and her sister-in-law Mary Robinson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
