She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Buford Payne Sr. and Gaynell Arrowood Payne; her grandson Darrius Hughes; her siblings, Joy Braswell and Jerry Payne; her brother-in-law Jack Solesbee; her niece Kelly Payne Robb; and her son Travis Patrick.
She is survived by: her daughter Joy Lashawn Guthrie; her grandchildren, Aleigha, Ryan and Patrick; her siblings, Jill Payne Solesbee, Joann Payne Barks (Kevin) and Jack Payne Jr. (Cindy); her nieces and nephews, Kris Royster, Gina Stines, Amy Buzzard, Angie Morton, Sara Moore, Jennifer Medeci, Jeff Payne, Michael Kinmon, Rachael Gordon and Ray Gordon Jr.; her aunt Martha Homesley; and her uncles, Bobby Payne and Keith Arrowood.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (5481 Hickory Grove Rd, Stanley, NC 28164). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
