The family announces the passing of Joan Morgan in Stanley, North Carolina on September 10, 2026. Joan, born on November 29, 1936, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd Bynum and Ruby Putnam Bynum; her daughter Robin Heffner; and her sister Billie Jean "Chub" Bynum. She is survived by: her daughters, Maxine Rogers (Curtis) and Tabatha Baldwin (Brian); her grandchildren, Connie Lowery, Brandy Guy, Stacey Heafner, Mary Boruta, Abby Anthony, Erica Cabrera and Brian Baldwin, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Marc Guy, Jr., Rylee Heafner, Caleb Guy, Kyndal Heafner, Logan Anthony, Eliana Lowery, William Boruta, Lilly Baldwin, Cameron Cabrera and Ian Boruta; and her cousin Starr McCorkle. She is also survived by sister, mother, and beloved Maw Maw whose greatest joy was her family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
