She was predeceased by: her husband William Eugene Blackman Sr.; her parents, Howard Jefferson Polk and Lithia Polk; and her siblings, Howard B. Polk, Patricia Ward Janet Coffey and Linda Ward.
She is survived by: her siblings, Peggy Sheets (Gene) and Dwight Polk (Carolyn).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (1101 N Main St, Lowell, NC 28098). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home (1101 N Main St, Lowell, NC 28098). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at the Hillcrest Cemetery (1508 Charles Raper Jonas Hwy, Mt Holly, NC 28120).
