She was predeceased by: her parents, Reid Campbell and Ruth Wise Campbell; her son Greg Hurt; her sisters, Clara Gilbert and Mary Ann Bynum; and her great grandchild Chloe Arwood.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Hurt (Debra) of Lincolnton, NC, Jeff Hurt (Karen) of Lincolnton, NC and Lynne H. Burgin (Mitch) of Lincolnton, NC; her daughter-in-law Kathy Hurt of Clover, SC; and her grandchildren, Brittney Renn, Matt Burgin (Tiffany), Colby Burgin (Kelli), Amanda Hurt (Billy), Jeffrey Hurt (Brittney) and Brandon Hurt (Jessica). She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Boger City Baptist Church (2201 E Main St, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
