She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Berry Davenport and Maggie Pace Davenport; her husband John Edward Fortner; her daughter Josie Featherstone; and her brothers, Leroy Davenport, Charles Davenport and Dean Davenport.
She is survived by : her children, Nancy Powell Lowe and John Thomas Powell (Myra). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
