He is survived by: his son Greg; his daughter-in-law Roxana Rumfelt of Belmont; his daughter Marsha; his son-in-law Frank Cabe of Belmont; his granddaughters, Missy Jones (Brian), Rachel Smith (Logan) and Rebekah Mayo (Joel); and his great great grandchildren, Julie Mayo, Gabe Mayo, Henry Smith and Lenna Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors - Bumgardner Chapel (515 N Central Ave, Belmont, NC 28012). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
