He is survived by: his wife Jane; his son Jonathan Vann Strickland; his grandson Robert "Bobby" Wyatt Vann Strickland of Cincinnati, OH; his sister Nancy Pendergrass (Linzy); his nephews, Thomas Pendergrass (Lauren) and Daniel Pendergrass (Leslie); his sister-in-law Carolyn Vann Anthony; his nieces and nephews, Kim A. Williams (Mikah) and James P. Anthony; and his caregivers, Lauren Walker, Janice Clark, Meagan Spivey, Juvasia Graham, Crystal Gowen, Rowland and Jane.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 earmarked for neuroblastoma.
