He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Dunning, Sr. and Grace Cochran Dunning; and his stepmother Celia Y. Dunning. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Dunning (Jessica), Benjamin Aaron Dunning (Lauren) and Hannah Lynes (Geoff); his sisters, JoAnn Sapp (Lee) and Judy Burke (Gary); and his grandchildren, Elijah Dunning, Noah Dunning, Ethan Lynes, Karsen Lynes, Lawson Lynes and Maci Lynes.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
