He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lester and Anna Eloise McInnis Maness Sr.; his siblings, Mary Lou Cook and Donald Maness; and his stepson Earl Winborn Thompson III.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Stout Maness; and his son Dana Maness of Troy.
