He is survived by : his sons, Albert Mathew Gilbert III (Tina) of Hamptonville and Brian Gilbert; his grandchildren, Ashlyn and Alston Gilbert; and his siblings, Harold Gilbert, Jimmy Gilbert, Donald Gilbert, Mary Widener, Jean Crouse of Glade Valley, NC, Loriene Alexander of Candler, NC and Patsy Bittinger.
