She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernard L. Koszewski and Irene S. Koszewski (Pluta); her former husband Dennis G. Young, Sr. of Pontiac; her husband George J. Heruska, Jr. of Statesville; her son Dennis George Young II; her brother Kenneth L. Koszewski, Sr. of Dudley, Massachusetts.; and her children, Cassandra Paquin (John C. Paquin) of Cool Spring, Bernard L. Young (Ling Zhou) of Fowlerville, Michigan, Patricia L. Young of Onalaska, Wisconsin, Timothy J. Young Young (Elizabeth J. (Greening)) of Pinckney, Michigan, Kevin A. Young Young (Heather M. (Day)) of Walled Lake, Michigan and Virginia Ann Young (Michael J. Saunders) of Brighton, Michigan.. She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and one greatgrandson, and by beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nicholson Funeral Home (135 E Front St, Statesville, NC 28677). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
