He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Shaw Turner and Patricia Ann Simpson; his grandparents, Lloyd Shaw Simpson Sr., Helen Turner Simpson, James Wallace (Lena) and Rebecca Wallace; and his uncles, Melvin Simpson, Johnny Ray Turner, William Turner, James Thomas Wallace and Calvin Wallace.
He is survived by: his wife April Simpson; his sons, Elijah Simpson of Statesville and Kingston Simpson of Statesville; his goddaughter Zidajha Jones; his mother-in-law Sandra Bellamy; his siblings, Benita Rowe of Troutman, Stephanie Stokes (Thomas) of Statesville, Robert Bellamy (Melissa) of Troutman, Jason Parker (Earl Parker), Ashley Green (Darryl) of High Point and Pammy Davenport of Statesville; his aunts and uncles, Steve Simpson (Donna) of Salisbury, Dr. Charles Simpson (Karen) of Mooresville, Craig Dulin of Statesville, Allen Wallace of Washington, D. C., Kevin Dulin, Robin Whittenburg of Salisbury, Terra Jeffries (Chris) of Salisbury, Norma Parker of Statesville, Helena Maddrey of Columbia, MD and Naomi Wallace of Washington, D.
