With sadness, we share the passing of Gregory Lee Proffitt of Statesville, North Carolina. Gregory, born on June 7, 1962, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Brown Proffitt. He is survived by: his father R. C. Proffitt; his wife Joyce Jones Proffitt; his children, Daniel Proffitt (Chasity), Ian Proffitt and Kendra Pearson (Nick); his grandchildren, Jameson Eller, Danica Proffitt and Jonathon Bishop; his sister Lesa Proffitt; and his nephew Noah Clendenin. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Beulah Baptist Church (1851 Old Mountain Rd, Statesville, NC 28677). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunday Evening Bible Study, 3801 Hickory Hwy, Statesville, NC 28677 or to the Forged Men's Ministry (Beulah Baptist Church, 1851 Old Mountain Rd., Statesville, NC 28677).
