It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Imogene Tolar of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Lawrence Whitfield and Mattie Locke Whitfield; her husband Robert Marion Tolar; and her siblings, Helen Danley, Hazel Whitfield, Simone Whitfield, Jack Whitfield, Norman Whitfield and Rex Whitfield.

She is survived by : her children, Betty Sue Tolar Doty (Drake) of Statesville, NC, Eugene Tolar (Jane) of Clayton, GA and Tony Tolar (Debbie) of LaBelle, FL; her brothers, Ralph Whitfield of Bristol, FL and Eddie Wayne Whitfield of Ashford, AL; her grandchildren, Eric Tolar (Beth Ann), Ashley Nance (Jerrod), Tonie Marie Garcia (Chris), Corie Sawatzky (Jacob) and Casey Fry (Elena); and her great grandchildren, Lyla, Brock, Sadie Grace, Easton, Lawson, Raylan, Zaiden, Blaze and Cody.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Troutman Funeral Home (345 N Main St, Troutman, NC 28166).
