She is survived by : her daughters, Shanneil Garner (Rodney) of Statesville, NC and Tempest McCombs (Steve) of Mooresville, NC; her siblings, William Edward Knox (Darlene) and Kay Elizabeth Gregory of Troutman; her grandchildren, Glenn Rice II (Tiandra) of Chapel Hill, NC, Shanaya Rice of Statesville, NC, Shanee Wasson of Statesville, NC, Nateo Knox (Nakita) of Pineville, NC., Tequilis Knox (Sarah) of Charlotte, NC, Kantrell Knox of Statesville, NC and Dawn Garner of Statesville, NC; her great grandchildren, Glenn Rice III, Greyson Rice, Nicolas Knox, Naydia Knox, Nyla Knox, Madeline Knox, Philomena Knox and Seraphim Knox; her goddaughters, Karen Newson of Bear, DE and Latisha Agnew of Statesville, NC; and her close friends, Janice Pierce of Philadelphia, PA and Marilyn McClelland of Statesville, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary (603 S Center St, Statesville, NC 28677). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 at the Belmont Cemetery.
