She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Wells and Sara Harrington Wells; her former husband James Knapp; and her husband Shorty Kerns. She is survived by: her sons, James D. Knapp of Statesville and Larry D. Knapp; her brother James E. Wells of Maiden; her stepdaughter Misty Hall of Statesville; her sibling's children, Windy Travis of Catawba and Jamie Wells (Missy) of Statesville; and her cousins, Shelia Bandy and Mina Bandy of Canton, NC.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Burke Mortuary Chapel (2516 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
