She was predeceased by: her parents, Gardner Godwin and Velma Carswell; and her brother George Godwin. She is survived by: her children, Sammy Dean Lackey of Statesville, Jacqueline Bowman (Michael) of Taylorsville and Samantha Anderson (Jarvis) of Statesville; and her grandchildren, Ashley Withers (Trae), Emily Bowman and Javeah Bell.
